Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-01

Welcome to Ryocho (the “Service”). These terms govern the rights and obligations between you and the Service. By registering an account or using any feature of the Service, you confirm that you have read and agreed to all of these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.

1. Service description

The Service is an app that helps users record expenses while traveling abroad, split expenses among multiple people, and track credit card rewards. It is available on Web, iOS, and Android. The Service is not a bank, payment provider, insurer, or any other financial institution. All amount calculations and reward estimates are for users’ personal reference only.

2. Account registration

  • You must be at least 13 years old to register and use the Service.
  • Register with your own valid email address. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • Keep your password secure. If your account is compromised, notify us immediately.

3. User responsibilities

When using the Service, you agree:

  • Not to upload unlawful, infringing, or defamatory content, or personal data of others without their authorization.
  • Not to attempt reverse engineering, data scraping, DDoS attacks, or other actions that interfere with the Service.
  • Not to impersonate others when registering or using an account.
  • You must have lawful rights to expense photos or receipt images you upload, for example by taking the photos yourself or obtaining permission. They must not contain sensitive financial information such as complete card numbers or CVCs.

4. AI OCR quotas

  • The Service offers AI receipt recognition. By default, every user receives 10 free credits each month, monthly Pro members receive 50 credits each month, and annual Pro members receive 750 credits each year.
  • The monthly free credits reset on the first day of each month in your device’s time zone; subscription and purchased credits are not affected by this reset. When you run out of credits, you can still enter expenses manually.
  • The Service reserves the right to adjust, suspend, or change its quota mechanism.

5. Service availability

  • The Service is provided “as is.” We work to maintain stable operation but do not guarantee 100% uptime or an error-free service.
  • We may suspend some features due to system maintenance or problems with third-party services such as Supabase, Vercel, and Google.
  • OCR results are inferred by AI models and may be inaccurate. Users should check the results themselves.
  • Exchange rates and credit card reward calculations provided by the Service are for reference only. Actual amounts are determined by card issuers and merchants.

6. Intellectual property

  • Intellectual property in the Service, including its code, UI design, brand name, and trademarks, belongs to Ryocho.
  • You retain intellectual property rights in content you upload, including expense records, expense photos, receipt images, and custom categories. You authorize Ryocho to process, store, and display that content to the extent needed to provide the Service.

7. Service termination

  • You can delete your account at any time through “Settings → Account management.”
  • If you seriously violate these terms, such as by abusing OCR quotas, attacking the Service, or uploading unlawful content, we reserve the right to terminate your account.
  • If we need to discontinue the Service for business reasons, we will provide notice within a reasonable period beforehand and offer a way to export your data.

8. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service and its developers are not liable for any direct, indirect, or consequential damages caused by using the Service. These include, without limitation, expense tracking errors caused by inaccurate OCR results, inability to access data immediately during service interruptions, and amount differences caused by exchange rate fluctuations.

9. Changes to these terms

These terms may be adjusted as the Service develops. We will announce significant changes in the app or on the sign-in page and update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you agree to the new terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

The interpretation and application of these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). For disputes arising from these terms or the Service, both parties agree that the Taiwan Taipei District Court will have jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
